Automation Controls Engineer – Elgin, IL

Job Duties:

Supervise development of hardware and software to program different PLCs and HMI; Automate various systems based on set requirements using programming software; Review, edit, and create mechanical design documents for parts, assemblies, or finished products; Configure and program servo drives, VFD’s, and other motion control systems; Lead identification and implementation of new control instrumentation and equipment. Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 24 months experience in a related occupation. Requires 24 months experience with the following: C, C++, Python, HTML, Studio 5000; VFD’s, Vision Systems, PI, Servo Drives, TRIO motion controllers; Bechoff PLC’s and HMI’s, Beijer HMI; TwinCar, DirectSOFT, Motion Perfect. 10% domestic and 5% international travel to client sites as needed.
